What you’ll need to get started
Card payments run on a Kina Bank merchant facility in your business’s name. We guide you through the application; these are the documents and details Kina Bank asks for.

- IPA Certificate of Incorporation or Business RegistrationCopy of the certificate from the Investment Promotion Authority.
- IPA company extractA current extract showing directors and shareholders.
- Business / company profileWhat you sell, how you sell it, and where you trade.
- IRC TIN certificateCopy of your Internal Revenue Commission Taxpayer Identification Number.
- Two valid photo IDs for each signatoryPassport photo page, driver’s licence or firearm licence. Expatriates also provide a work permit.
- Cash-flow projectionOnly if the business has traded for less than 2 years and is applying for a credit-card facility.
- Letter to Kina Bank requesting the merchant facilityOn your letterhead, signed by an authorised person.
Details for the application form
- A Kina Bank business account in the same entity or trading name as the application
- Registered company number, legal entity name, trading name and entity type (company, partnership, trust or sole trader)
- Trading address, postal address and a main contact person
- Cards you want to accept: local debit, Visa, Mastercard and/or China UnionPay
- Projected annual turnover and average transaction size
- An email address for Kina’s automated settlement reports
